Lord is there anything worse than a coach babbling to the team after the game about all their mistakes or handing out game balls to the Player Of The Game"? The parents are rolling their eyes and looking at their watches. They have to get dinner or get the kid to do his homework and to bed. When they get older there are two things teenage boys want to do in the summer...play baseball...and get girls. When the baseball game is over post game meetings are cutting into "getting girls" time. Here is my post game speech to my 18U showcase team. " Good game/we'll get them next time. Next game is Thursday at 7 at XXXX Field, be there by 6:30. Go get women" and in a flash they were gone.
